Some would say that the monsoon season is not the time to visit Kerala. I would have to say quite the opposite. It is cool, yes wet, but it t is not continuous rain and at times refreshing.
My wife and I ventured into Fort Kochi during monsoon which is apparently to least touristed season of the year and we don’t regret this decision.
Koddr house was a refreshing break after the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. The staff are very polite and helpful, the restaurant has good food, wine and beer.
(Alcohol is hard to come by in Kerala unless your hotel is 5 star or you cue at a hole in the wall government beverage shop)
The premises are awe inspiring a tribute to Indy Portuguese Dutch architecture.
Tall airy rooms with exposed teak beams and 10 inch wide floor boards, this residence exudes charm and a presence that you will find hard to duplicate.
Heritage listed, beautifully furnished and clean, to the merit of the owner, it is well maintained in a stately form.
Christine and I highly recommend you enjoy a stay here amongst the historic an attractive old world Fort Kochi.
Cheers
