Booked a double room - single occupancy for 2 nights. Booked it months in advance (at least 4) and got myself a great price. Arrived at hotel past midnight for the check-in. Been given a single room (single bed) instead of what I booked. Rosa (the night staff) did her best to explain to me that her day colleague assigned the rooms and due to full occupancy she could not do anything at that time. Given the time, I accepted the situation, being promised that she will leave a note for the morning staff in order to get a double room and a refund for the difference between the single room assigned for 1 night and the double room. The morning staff, Elisabeth, got the note about my situation and even so, for a few good minutes she told me that I booked a single room (single occupancy she meant) and not a double and that it is not her fault. After long explanations, she understood I won’t give in at her attitude, called her boss apparently, and been told will get a double bed room. I asked about a potential refund/voucher for the night spent in the 1 bed room. She laughed in my face saying that for the price I paid I will never get any refund. Not my fault that these were the hotel’s prices when I booked. Totally rude. Been told that I will get the room at 12PM and that I need to vacate mine by 12PM. Did so and went for a walk. Arrived at 1:30PM when I was made to wait another 20 minutes. Got a twin room in the end. Oh well
Hotel is clean. AC does not work properly. Staff is rude.
