This hotel is okay if you intend to stay closer to where it is located. For those having stuff to do around the airport and downtown, it is simply way too far, The taxi ride during rush hours (which is mostly the case in Beijing anyways) may take well over an hour and a half.
While the rooms are extremely clean with comfortable beds, the furniture and electronics and carpets appear to be relatively older and need to be changed. A fresh fruit plate awaits every guest on arrival which is pleasing.
The English language skills of most of the staff are below average. The only person I saw with fluent English was the assistant manager, Ms Nancy Zhang, who always showed extra customer service and exceeded expectations whenever her help was sought with guidance or making other arrangements.
Be ware of the Beijing Taxi drivers and be prepared with a map, especially when travelling from the airport. The ride could become torterous and costly otherwise. A sub-way station is approx. 10-minute ride which makes it easy to commute to other parts of the city. This hotel also charges 60RMB per night for the use of internet, which may be a downer for those with a tighter budget and there is no WIFI in the rooms either. The breakfast has decent variety but the staff and the service in the restaurant is average.
The hotel, however, is convenient if you are planning a trip to the Great Wall, which is only 30 odd kms away.
The hotel is okay but not the greatest in Beijing in its price range.
