This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in my life. I don't know where to even begin...
- We arrived at 11 PM, my reservation fully paid upfront, with proof. The aggressive hotel manager insisted that I had to pay it again, for some reason. When asked, "there's clearly a mistake, can we sleep now and sort this tomorrow?", the answer was a curt "no". Despite showing him receipts, he mansplained me I was wrong and had to pay it again. I was kept waiting for an hour for a reservation I'd already paid SO THAT I COULD SAVE TIME AT CHECK-IN AS I ARRIVE LATE & TIRED.
- When we finally accessed our rooms, another huge disappointment strikes: The room had nothing in common with what we booked. We booked a one-bedroom suite, and was presented a grubby, poorly-lit room that looked like a hospital ward. We demanded a change, but was told that the rooms we booked weren't available and we couldn't be moved. I guess sending a janitor for a few hours and preparing it would require too much thinking and planning.
- The food situation was IMMENSELY stressful. On an average day, you'll spend TWO HOURS waiting in the queue to get food. Terrible people flow management and planning. No COVID-19 precautions. Long queues in front of buffets indoors with badly-behaved guests elbowing you and coughing into your neck. Not acceptable outside a pandemic, but now, it should be criminal. Not to mention the food quality was appalling
- Non-existent hygiene standards. Absolutely gross.
