This lodging falls under the heading of, 'you get what you pay for', so please realize that this is not a 4-star hotel chain. What it is, is a clean building, conveniently located off of Dixie Highway in Pompano Beach, Florida, for a rate that is less than 1/3rd of anyplace else you will find in the area.
Why is it so inexpensive? Because you are paying for a clean room and a warm bed without any frills or amenities. You won't get turndown service, there won't be a chocolate on your pillow, etc. The Forum was formerly a hospital that was renovated and changed into a hotel which caters to ministries of various denominations and beliefs. As a result there is a strict policy on no alcohol on the premises, but I found they did not proselytize, and it was not as uncomfortable for me (as an athiest) as I worried it might be.
All in all, if you want a pool, fancy pillows, and posh surroundings, then head for one of the hotel chains or one of the motels on the beach. If your main goal is to save money while still getting a good night's rest, then this is the place for you.
