Good hotel, really lovely breakfast, clean and comfy rooms. Its a bit of a walk into bpool but not too bad.
The guy who owns it is not a fan of hotels.com/expedia. We got there and saw there was 1 parking space left, and had read onkine its free parking. So we parked up, that was a big mistake. He came out and ranted for a good 20 minutes that parking is not free. Unless you book direct. He said i hadnt told them i had a car (i had filled the online booking form in that they themselves emailed to me and it asks for registration, so i 100% did.)
There was a sign in the window stating parking is £6 per day, we agreed to pay it but he kept demanding to see where we had been told parking is free. Even after i gently explained we were happy to pay the fee he still kept asking to see my confirmation email and where it said it was free.
When we were looking for somewhere to stay i had mainly been using trivago, but had found this
Iv read so many reviews saying the owners were lovely, we got none of that.
Overall its a lovely place, and maybe he was just having a bad day, but i wouldnt stay here again.
