I've traveled a good bit in China and elsewhere so I've seen a wide range of accommodations. If you're staying here, it's not because the rooms are so spectacular as it's not. The place was perhaps at one time very nice, but now is a bit dated, but well maintained. I chose it because it's located within 5 minutes walk from the train station, was reasonably priced and from reading prior reviews, the rooms were clean. Indeed, it was all of those things. The hotel staff have provided everything you could possibly need which is really nice, including wired LAN internet and wireless in the rooms, a couple of apples and a fruit peeler in a bowl awaiting your arrival, bathrobes, toothbrushes, complimentary water (in addition to a fully stocked mini bar/fridge), tea, water heater, etc. The bathroom had a slight odor, like a gym locker, but it wasn't terrible. You get what you pay for so as long as you don't expect greatness, you'll be perfectly content with it. Being near the train station is convenient if you come by train and are staying for a short period, which was the case with me. I was able to check in and drop my things off immediately. In addition, the next day, they held onto my bags after I checked out so I could go around without having to drag around my luggage.
