Modern apartment, good location, hasty cleaning
The hotel consists of a long row of modern and well-equipped studio apartments conveniently located 1 km from the railway station. Although it was close to a major road and the tracks, I was not bothered by any noise at night.
I did not receive any information about how to check in until I sent a message to the establishment after the reservation was supposed to start. They sent a link to a web form that I could not fill out on my phone and it took me most of an hour trying different browsers to complete it - it would not scroll to show me all of the questions or allow me to fill in all required fields (e.g. address). It required one to scan one’s passport and to scan a QR code. Once I finally figured out all three stages of the process, I was rewarded with access to a Google document providing codes to two doors and a key box along with pictures and instructions. To my relief, all the codes worked and I had no difficulty finding the place.
The wifi in the apartment was intermittent. I tried without success to join a videoconference.
The bedding was arranged artistically and I presume was fresh, but there were signs of hasty cleaning: there was trash in the bin under the sink when I arrived (a cottage cheese tub etc). When checking to see whether I had forgotten anything, I found wedged between the bed and the wall a bra, headband, used towel, and AA battery, none of which were mine.
