I checked in pretty late, around 9 or 10 I believe. After 30 min, I realized that the pine tree outside of my window was banging and scraping against the window. It was a very windy night. When I went to the desk to inquire if I could move rooms, the front desk girl asked if I had already sat on the bed or used the bathroom. Of course I had, I certainly just didn’t stand there for 30 min. She told me that I couldn’t be moved because housekeeping wasn’t available. I could be moved the next day. She gave me 20$ discount which is not what I wanted and doesn’t make up for no sleep.
If I had checked out, the room would remain dirty regardless of housekeeping being there. If someone were to arrive to check in, they would get a clean room. I don’t understand why I couldn’t move rooms regardless of housekeeping.
The next day they texted me and said that I could move rooms, and also that ear plugs were always available at the front desk if I needed them. Why on earth did they not say that they had ear plugs the night before?
I ended up leaving and just forfeiting the money for the second night I paid for. Would not stay here again.
