Stressful check in experience
A very stressful experience with check in! I really don’t recommend using this property if you are arriving outside of office hours. Communication was terrible. I sent emails, used the Contact Property option via hotels.com, called the office number several times but there was no response. The day prior to our flight we received one email asking us to submit details such as passport number. On the day of our flight I hadn’t received anything and after arriving at the airport I tried to call again several times asking them to send me check in instructions as we were arriving after 9.30pm. I found their Facebook page and tried contacting them that way and I emailed again. Just as we were about to board I received a msg asking me to pay a cleaning and admin fee. I paid immediately and finally got check in instructions. The stress didn’t end there though, we couldn’t find the apartment block when we arrived and it was only the kindness of a young woman walking her dog that helped us find it. The keypad entry instructions said “door xxxx door” where xxxx was the code. What this meant was that you had to select a key with a door icon. Again we were helped out by the young woman who was familiar with the entry system. When we finally got into the apartment we found the shower wasn’t plumbed in! I had another message from the rental company saying they hoped I got in okay and could I pay a deposit to cover damages. There was no way I was going to pay anything else by this stage.
