We love this hotel. It's new, so it's in good shape. The staff is very friendly. They have happy hour drinks and bar food- enough food to not need to go out for dinner. (Last night's selection was pulled pork sliders, hot dogs, nachos and cheese and salsa, baked beans, a nice fresh salad, chicken noodle soup, and very good mac and cheese. Plus 3 glasses of wine per person. Just what we needed after a long day on the road. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is clean (but a little sparse on the towels). And then there's an expansive breakfast in the morning. Perfect stopover in the middle of a 2 day trip from FL or VA.
I only have one negative. The bathroom is armed with a motion detector light switch that can't be operated any other way than by motion detection. When the lights go on, it's like a stadium lit up. That's way too much in the middle of the night when you're trying to be quiet and not wake up your partner. There should be a nightlight option. Anyway, I mentioned it to the front desk when we came through at the beginning of March. She said I wasn't the first person to comment on it, and they were trying to figure out a different design plan. Apparently, they haven't figured that out yet. So I took a small piece of luggage I had, set it on the sink in front of the detector with the lid raised. I also had a night light. So my bag blocked the motion detection (yay!) and the night light gave me enough light. Problem solved.
