The property was beautiful, my room was on the main floor behind a nested door. It was tight, but a beds a bed and this room had 2. The bathroom was separated from the main room by a curtain, which is awkward no matter who you’re staying with. But they can wait in the cozy main area or use the bathroom there if needed. Still, a door would’ve been great 😅
The room has a strict no-drinks policy, but water was available for purchase from the Riad. A nice light breakfast with coffee was included with the room.
The room has an Ac unit which did its best and got the room down to 21C and kept it there.
Patrick, the manager, was an absolute gem. He was incredibly accommodating, and very helpful, as was his aid Abdou. Both are absolute gentlemen.
The riyad was about a 15 minute walk from the taxi stop, and 30 minutes from the old market and all the good shopping and restaurants.
What I DIDNT like were the young men who would try and convince me the main route to the riad is “closed”, then after taking me the long way, asked for $10. I fell for it the first time, but they tried this every time I passed them. That’s why I deducted a star.
