I was greeted with the news that i had a third floor room and that the elevator was inoperable and had been for quite some time now. I asked about a low floor room and was informed that it was a full house, no extra rooms. I could have thrown a handful of rocks any direction in the parking lot and not done much damage, but okaaaaaayyy. When I got upstairs to RM 309 the key worked, but the door was difficult to open (I'm a big guy with no shortage of strength). Once opened, the new challenge was to close the door. I had to lift it to overcome the failing hinges, and then the inside lock was inoperable. I was exhausted from my day, and decided to chance it since there were "no other rooms available". Upon waking, I wanted coffee. I was rewarded for my efforts with a coffee maker that spit boiling water out the top of the reservoir all over that side of the bathroom. I cut my losses, showered, and left without chancing the breakfast.
It's my pservation that this property has experienced a gradual decline since I started using it three or four years ago. The rates have increased while the hotel has begun to deteriorate. This was probably my last stay.
