Tom was very service-minded, friendly and helpful. When I arrived late, he carried my luggage upstairs, gave me tips on what place was better to visit to see beautiful Irish nature and stored my luggage for me giving me the key to the front door in case he and Sallyann would be away.
However, the stay at their B&B has been uncomfortable for me. The room itself was decent. But cleanliness was not great - there were dust bunnies in several different places in the room. In the bathroom there were some hairs in the sink from previous guests, but it looked like it had been cleaned, so I assume the hairs were transferred from a cleaning cloth or similar. There were some vague stains on the toilet seat and at first I thought it was wear and tear, not dirt. But then I tried to clean the toilet seat myself with soap and water and toilet paper and then it got totally clean! The mattress on the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The bed throw on top smelled nice, so I assume it was washed, but there were stains on it (probably did not go away with the washing), so that was a bit yucky. The same goes for two bath towels - they were clearly washed, but there were dark stains on them. Sound isolation is poor - I could hear both the neigbors next door talking and the traffic outside, even with ear plugs. Nothing dramatic, but constant background noise. This coupled with the high price and the city center being 30 mins away by bus makes me regret I chose to save some money by staying here.
