• The Lemon Garden Residence was a lovely place to land when arriving to Heraklion for the first time. Manos, the owner, went above and beyond and showed the most welcoming hospitality. We were able to text him throughout the duration of our stay, for recommendations, help, etc. (He was kind enough to print our tickets for our bus to Chania - just an example of how hospitable he was!) The hotel itself was lovely. We had a beautiful room. The mini fridge came stocked with cold water and fresh fruit Manos had grown on his Organic farm. The AC worked well, the shower was stocked with Korres products, and it felt plenty spacious for two people. Manos provided a map of the local area, with landmark sights and attractions, and gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities. The garden surrounding the rooms was one of our favorite parts - the plants and lemon trees were beautifully curated and cared for. We felt the listing accurately depicts the rooms, but we wanted to share more photos of the garden because it was too beautiful not to! It was conveniently located - a mere 5 minute walk to desirable attractions, shopping, and restaurants, but the hotel itself was located on a quiet street - it felt like the best of both worlds.
• We arrived rather late our first night, but Manos was still happy to meet us, show us our room and the grounds. He recommended a small, local restaurant that was right up the street (turn left when you exit the gate, and it was a favorite.
