I reserved a Lanna Superior room with a King Bed two weeks before I arrived. At that time, a total of 4 rooms were shown as available. I notified the property I would be arriving late.
When I arrived, I was put in a room with two twin beds. When I stated I had reserved a King bed, they simply moved two twin beds together in the room. at 189 cm and 100 kg, a twin bed is too small for me. The bedframe creaked all night, and there was a 5-6 cm gap between the beds, making it impossible to lay next to my GF.
So, instead of upgrading me to a room that had a King Bed, they downgraded my accommodation. POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE! The next morning, I spoke with the property manager; they moved me to a better room, but I had already spent a sleepless night, and my trip was ruined - too tired to do what I had planned the following day.
Though this is a lovely place, the management does not comprehend the issue. They rented more rooms than they had available for my type of room, and instead of equal to/better than change, downgraded my room. No commitment to change the policy, train the staff, do anything different.
When I discussed this with the property manager, it went nowhere - waste of time and breath. I cannot recommend staying here for this reason.
