This was my first to Marrakech and Morocco. I chose this accommodation because it was in a more quiet area of the city. That’s not to mean that it’s not accessible: it’s a beautiful oasis after you have walked all day navigating the Medina and souks. I did not have breakfast because I just didn’t. But dinners are available: no menu! You get what the chef decided to make. These were traditional Moroccan dishes: tagines, couscous and of course, the best mint tea.
My room was clean and well-appointed and I had my own washroom with shower. I don’t know if housekeeping is available because I didn’t ask. I was happy for my room to stay as I left it. I’m sure if I had asked, it would have been tidied up.
Now we get to what has to be the best part of the Riad: Simon and his team!! Any questions, any requests would be handled properly with a smile. All team members were so solicitous of the guests happiness and contentment. The service was easily comparable to any 5-star chain hotel, but without the expectation of giving out $$ all the time.
