The hotel looked good and was well situated in Rome. However, it is an old apartment converted into multiple studios, so it is not well soundproofed—you can hear everyone in the lobby.
When booking, I accidentally reserved for one person. The owner asked us to pay taxes for two people, which was fine. However, he then insisted we pay an additional fee for the second adult. Normally, this fee would be 10 euros per night, totaling 30 euros for our stay. Instead, he demanded 90 euros, claiming it was due to the high season. This is untrue, as the additional fee is 10 euros per night regardless of the season. He was clearly trying to scam us and extort more money.
