The parador itself is beautiful, quite majestic, and nicely decorated in the common spaces.
The room was okay, with very dated furniture, a bit dark as it stood on the top floor and only had a small window, and the bathroom was not pristine as to be expected.
What surprised me the most was the staff's lack of preparation to welcome and host foreigners. We requested soft boiled eggs for breakfast (which was at 21€ per person), and not only they were not cooked properly, there were no egg holders, and when we asked for new ones properly cooked we got attitude, rudeness and bad manners. We got the same boiled egg from before, cracked open, but re-heated!
I have been to paradores before, and the service was always great, not here. Not sure the detour is worth it, as I have read on other reviews, there is nothing else to do in this small town, so they better improve their service or no reason at all to go there.
