Options are limited in this small town. Arrived at check-in around 10pm. No one there to check me in. Waited for about 10 minutes then when the attendant arrived, he notified me that the elevator wasn't working and I was on the 2nd floor. Insane to have to make multiple trips upstairs since I had multiple bags and had a hurt back, so I asked if they had a room downstairs. They said yes, but it would be an upcharge. What? You're elevator is broken, so to accommodate me, for your broken elevator, I had to incur an upcharge to stay downstairs??? This is the type of service that drives customers away. Since I pre-booked from Expedia, it was non-refundable, so I paid the upcharge. I'll be back frequently to this town for business, but I won't be booking here.
