The Westport RV Park and Motel is an interesting facility. I suppose I should have known from the name that the "motel" piece is a bit of an afterthought.
The manager came quickly over when it became apparent we were struggling to find the motel among the large recreational vehicles. She let us into the room, which is laid out in a counterintuitive way.
The bed, while comfortable is set as if the decorator had run a down-and-out pattern away from the television. You cannot comfortably see the TV from the bed without laying firmly atop your partner. An interesting predicament, to be sure, but not conducive to watching the Vacation Movie Marathon on AMC.
The bathroom is quite small, and a shower isn't possible without repeated collisions between your elbows and the walls of the shower. It isn't terrible, but it is more like a shower taken in a park model at a Thousand Trails Preserve.
That said, I'm not closing the door on ever staying here again. I would just need to pack a good book and enjoy the mournful sound of the Westport Light at the end of the local pier.
