Upon arrival, the front desk only had one room when the reservation was for two. Then, after producing the reservation, the front desk agent said she found a room but it was going to stick us on to completely different floors, After, being a little persistent as I had booked these rooms months in advance for this weekend, she did have the ability to put us side-by-side. I asked what specifically would be pre-authorized on my credit card and she insured that only the room incidental would be charged. I asked her to leave a note on the account that I would be paying cash upon checkout. When she had me sign in the room costs were different and she told me that that would be fixed. In the morning when I woke up, I noticed that there had been three charges on my credit card….. for the room incidental, one for one room at a higher rate than our reservation quoted. and then another for the amount of the original quoted room …..which literally took up and used the balance on my card at that moment making it unusable for the remainder of my trip as I was advised that it would take 5 business days for it to be released. Upon trying to check out the front desk clerk fixed the amounts. I paid cash and left. Not a great first impression.
