This hotel is a no frills kind of place, but it’s an okay option when you’re in a pinch and need a less expensive stay. Arrival is confusing as the sign on the hotel says SureStay. There is no signage that says TexanInn. The front desk staff was friendly. When I checked in there was someone in front of me, who had already been to their room and was now asking for a different room. The staff apologized and complied with no fuss. The room was okay. There was a clump of something brown upon first entering my room, although I could not tell if it were dirt from someone’s shoes or dried dog poop. Either way, it let me know the room had not been vacuumed and probably wasn’t thoroughly cleaned between guests. The furniture was stained. There were brown burn marks on the toilet. I wiped down the table with a white towel from the bathroom so I could lay my clothes on it and the towel ended up brown, as if the surfaces had not been cleaned. The bed was clean and comfortable. No signs of bed bugs in the folds of the mattress. I was tired and only staying one night so I didn’t make a fuss and for $47 what would one expect? Overall a lackluster experience, but gets the job done if you’re just passing through.
