Checked in on July 16th and initially enjoyed our stay. Upon getting ready to leave discovered that they only left us 2 shower towels and they had the room registered for 4 adults. Upon leaving I removed the bedding linens and piled them on the floor with the towels, hand towels, wash rags, and bath mat not observing any sign of stains. Keeping in mind that all the parties in the cabin were over the age of 45 and use to keeping a clean home, we wiped down all the counters and pretty much cleaned for the cleaning staff doing the dishes and filling the ice trays.
Upon getting service two days later I received an email from the company advising that I was charged $65 for ruined towels to include one bath towel, one hand towel, one wash rag and the bath mat. Upon calling the business, they were informed the I would be in on Saturday to pick up the towels and to speak with the manager.
Upon arriving, we spoke to the general manager, who was anything but cordial about the situation. Nate advised that they have policies in place bagging each rooms towels and linens and that they spot treat them before washing them and then charge if the stains aren’t removed. He then showed us the spots of dirt and claimed them to be blood and mascara which neither of the females wear. We collected the towels and traveled home 225 miles. My wife tossed them in the washing machine and pulled them out clean. I sent Nate the images and he agreed to pay for the shipping to send them back to him.
