Unfortunately, I did not get to stay at Pure Voyage Shaw because my reservation was apparently cancelled and I was NOT EVEN NOTIFIED by the property. Pure Voyage Shaw indicated they would send check-in instructions 72 hours before my stay. Two days before, 48 hours, I emailed them directly to inquire about the info and received no response. The day before, 24 hours, I called them directly multiple times only to be sent to a voicemail that was FULL and would not accept any messages (RED FLAGS). I then called Expedia who was able to get a hold of someone and was informed that the unit was damaged and they would not be able to accommodate me. My issue is that had I not called, me and my kids would have been stranded at night in a new city with no place to stay (our flight didn't arrive until 8:30). THAT is UNACCEPTABLE that no one reached out to me at Pure Voyage. They knew the unit was damaged and did not reach out to cancel or try to reschedule or anything. I will not even try to stay here again because DC is beautiful and I will be back. Luckily, the Expedia reps were amazing and resolved the issue and found us a place to stay with less than 12 hours before our flight.
