The hotel was spot on. It had everything you wanted for a relaxing stay. Beautiful views. Welcoming and attentive staff. Food and drinks were all great and delicious. Would highly recommend and definitely going to stay again

Very clean, great staff, superb location. My only slight concern is food a little too pricey, although food quality is very good. Spa bit pricey also at £25 per person. Saying that, I would definitely go back.

The property was clean other than on the ceiling, where there were spiders and there webs in our room and in main building. Staff excellent, breakfast plates hot but food just warm, dinner menu was a bit restrictive. Lovely position

Arrived at 15:10, couldn't get a coffee while waiting for room which wasn't meant to be ready until 15:30. We were able to get a drink from the bar so not all bad. The access road is narrow and steep with a few passing places, this does mean the hotel is a long way from the road so very peacefully. The restaurant has a very limited menu ,4 mains and 4 starters plus one special. The staff were very good, attentive and helpful. The accommodation was o.k. nothing outstanding. We have stayed in Malvern many times, this was our first time at the cottage in the wood, it is the most expensive option but it is not the he best Malvern hotel I have stayed in, I wouldn't avoid it but it isn't going to be my first choice either.

The hotel is set in a lovely position and some rooms have an amazing view. However, you will need to upgrade your room from the basic price to benefit from this location. Our room, disappointingly did not have a view and we were only able to see a rocky cliff about 2 meters from the window.. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable which was nicely decorated. It was equped with tea and coffee making facilities and a mini-fridge. The en-suite again was clean, spacious and modern. The hotel does advertise a spar and hot-tub, but it does not mention that there is an additional charge to use these facilities (£25 per person for 90 minutes). Breakfast was table service and gave a good menu to choose from. Staff were friendly and took care of our needs during our stay.

We stayed here one night whilst on our hiking trip. The location of the property is literally on the trail, so it allows you to split the hike trail intro two days. However, there are no shops nearby, only a petrol station which closes at 8PM. We booked a cosy room. The room itself was fine, clean, however we did notice quite a few spiders about in the room and bathroom. The restaurant is where this property shines: the food was excellent, and it gets quite busy. We barely managed to get a table on the terrace, as otherwise it was fully booked. So if you plan to dine here as well, book in advance.

A good location for walking. I specifically booked for the spa facilities however the plunge pool was not in operation and the sauna had maintenance works so although I used it I had drilling and sawing all the way through - so not relaxing at all as it was literally a building site. when I took it up with reception they offered a half price discount on the £25 spa charge - not ideal! Supper was overpriced for what it was - I ordered the sea bream it was a small main and although tasty it was the smallest tail cut of bream I’ve ever received - more of a starter size fish portion than a main and for £29 (total bill £42 including water and a side of overcooked broccoli with a dollop of pesto?) I felt it was not value for money. Shame as the view from the restaurant was great.

We were really looking forward to staying here because we had heard about it from various sources. However, we were very disappointed. The property is in need of a good refresh. Paint is peeling off walls, the patios outside the rooms are in need of a good jet wash. The entrance to our block was not at all inviting. The room felt cold. The furniture is cheap and the chairs and walls scuffed and tatty. We were kindly offered another room which was slightly better - but only slightly! Bathrooms look like they may have been upgraded, so maybe they've made a start. The restaurant was closed during our visit so we had to go out to a local pub to eat in the evening. To end on a positive note, the breakfast was excellent and that was the overall quality we were looking for! We didn't feel that it was good value for the money. We've stayed in smarter Premier Inn rooms (for business) at a quarter of the price!
