We repacked the car and left in less than a hour of checking in. It was disgusting. Add to it, the place is more like a hostel than as described. The couch had white stains on it, the sheets had stains on them and there was no way I was going to use the towels or put my head on the pillows. There were no blankets. The floor wasn’t overly dirty, but it wasn’t clean either. The AC barely cooled the room. The building is set up with the balconies on the sides, so the ocean view is actually more of looking at the people in the room next to you, sitting on their balcony with the ocean in the background. When I told the woman, who was ten minutes late opening the 2-hour check-in window, it wasn’t as described and we were leaving, she didn’t seem to care. Nothing was as it was described when booking, except there was parking and it did appear you can walk to the water. Now, as of the date of this entry, they aren’t honoring the cancellation and refund policy at the time of booking and I have gotten Hotel.com involved. I don’t need a 4-star hotel — I am happy to throw my sleeping bag on the ground, but this place I wouldn’t even let my dog stay at — and he didn’t.
