I actually really deeply loved this property and wish that there would have been clear communication that cared enough about my experience as a solo female guest.
I booked this in the evening while in London. Thrlled to find an absolutely stunning interior residential villa, boutique hotel, above & beyond any other location for its price, value, detail, care, style, cleanliness, etc.
My flight immediately got delayed to a super late night arrival. I immediately emailed the hotel, found them thru social media, messaged multiple ways including texts thru Whatsapp that I was a single woman traveling solo, I needed confirmation that late would be safe. I was told this was okay that someone would be there at 1am at my disposal.
When I arrived at the airport there were no longer any buses or trains, taxis were double priced, group shared with no exact eta, leaving me even later than estimated.
When I arrived at the stunning street gates, I rang the bell, buzzar believing I was alerting front desk. Little did I know ... It was a guest in the building telling me no one of front desk services was not here any longer.
He could let me in the gate, but refused to let me in the building. My first night in Roma I slept on the patio furniture, lucky a beautiful soft cozy hanging basket. I made the most of being alone, unsure what to do, exhausted from travel from the states thru London. It was misty, I bundled up as best I could w/ my only minimal sweater.
Never got a proper sleep.
