4 stars for the staff, location on the bay and the beautiful landscaping. All of the staff, Except the front desk representative, had the wonderful aloha Spirit.
Everyone should know that this property is part timeshare and part hotel or villas. I was told by Expedia in writing, I would get a queen bed which ended up being a Murphy pulldown bed, which was probably decades old. The room was very old. It was the lock off room from a larger main room. When I asked Marriott about getting Murphy bed instead of a queen bed, she said that Expedia can do that! A Murphy bed is a queen bed! If you read the fine print, it says that the hotel can give you something different or what’s available. I doubt I will ever use Expedia again, Because of this reason.
The landline phone did not worked when I Got up in the morning. The cellular was spotty on the lanai. The staff said that only Verizon works well. If you have any kind of mobility disability or problem with a resort that is like a plantation, I would recommend not staying here. The vibe I got was that they’re trying to fill the timeshare units. I had a choice to stay in any hotel in the Lihue or Poipu area, and I was burned. Beware
