Don't expect the pool/hot tub that are advertised
We specifically booked this hotel for our family spring break trip because of the indoor pool and hot tub. Both were closed by the state health department for our entire visit. We were NOT notified that the pool and hot tub were closed upon check-in. When we realized that both were closed and reported it to the attendant at the front desk, she declared that she "didn't know." We were told it would be open the next day. It was not, nor was it open the following day when we left.
The entire hotel had one working ice machine on the third floor. We stayed on the fourth floor. Be careful with the elevators. On the second floor, you can only choose to go down, even if you need to go up.
Our room was pretty clean and comfortable, but the toilet ran constantly, and street noise was loud. It would have been blocked a bit by the noise of the AC, but the AC stopped a couple of times throughout the night.
The breakfast was nice, and a good variety of foods was offered. The tables were nice and clean, and the food was flavorful. Breakfast time is 6 - 9 a.m.
Overall, we were disappointed, as we had planned on relaxing evenings in the pool and hot tub. Some discount should have been provided for the misrepresentation of amenities offered, but we were told to contact hotels.com.
Lesson learned. In the future, we will contact hotels directly about the availability of their pools prior to booking.
