I've been crashing in my car temporarily, but the last couple of nights have gotten pretty cold, so I decided to get a room to stay warm. Unfortunately, the heater/AC unit in my room (211) didn’t seem to be working. It was unplugged, with the cover off and set to the side — it looked like they were either working on it or planning to replace it. It got a little cold overnight, but it was still better than staying in my car.
Given how well-kept the room was, I’m sure this isn’t the case for the rest of the rooms. Plus, I’m pretty sure I got stuck with the last available room since I checked in pretty late — about an hour and a half after 10 PM, when they usually close. Despite that, the staff was kind enough to contact me and make sure I could still check in, which I really appreciated.
Other than the AC issue, I have to say — if you’re looking for an affordable hotel, this place is truely a hidden gem compared to other budget options around here. The room was very clean** , the staff was friendly, and the property didn’t have sketchy people hanging around all night, which is more than I can say for a lot of other places nearby.
A couple of other perks: the TV was a smart TV with access to YouTube, Netflix, and more, which was super convenient. There was also a microwave in the room, which you usually don’t get at similar places.
Overall, I’m glad I gave this place a try, and I know where to stay next time.
