The hotel, which was excellent in 2012, declined a lot in two years, especially because of a work of earth-moving done on a neighboring land, generating terrible noise, which unhappily shall still last for a long time. I asked to change room as soon as I received and realized it, but they took almost two hours to make the switch and gave me a room on the front building, which made very few difference for solving the problem (there are several more distant blocks that could have been used for the exchange). With this, all guests are awoken early by the noise. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet was full of flies landing on food, which before 10am was completely cold. And the room tables had some small confectionary ants. Still to complain about the hotel charging to borrow beach towels. At least, they accepted to give me two extra hours to compensate for the hours of waiting on the eve, the room was nice, the staff friendly and courteous, the van service was efficient and timely, and the shower was the best I found on this trip to the Philippines.
