Disappointing stay
From the moment I checked in, my experience was far from what I expected for a vacation. After checking in, I was immediately told I needed to visit someone for a parking pass. This led to a lengthy sales pitch for a timeshare, which I had no interest in. Despite mentioning that we were in town for a funeral, the sales representative, while polite, continued to push the timeshare offer. The only positive interaction I had was with Waldo, who checked me in. He was personable, friendly, and informative. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was less than enjoyable. Throughout our time there, we received multiple text messages, followed by phone calls—despite informing them the night before that we were not interested in the timeshare tour. The calls continued the next day before 8:30 AM, interrupting our relaxation time. I understand the need to inform guests, but I did not request a wake-up call, and this constant communication felt intrusive. Additionally, the service at the pool bar was disappointing. Jessica, the bartender, was curt and dismissive, making facial expressions when asked a simple question. At the lazy river, I had an encounter with another staff member who simply stared at me before walking away when I asked a question. When I attempted to speak to her again, she ignored me and continued walking. My daughter was particularly taken aback by this behavior. A vacation is supposed to be a time for relaxation and quality moments with family, but my stay was far from.
