There were so many issues with this hotel it’s almost too many to list. First off, the hallways are so dirty, it looks like they don’t vacuum at all. We stayed on the 3rd floor and there were many spots where the carpet looked like bleach had been spilled, it was ugly. Unexplained crumbs/wood chips here and there, very dirty. The ice maker leaked water and their solution was a towel on the floor apparently. The room itself was ok, one of the lamps didn’t work. Bedspreads looked old and worn, bathroom was rundown looking. It looked hastily repainted and the toilet handle was loose. We stayed on the 3rd floor and while the elevator went up from the lobby, it wouldn’t go up to the 3rd floor if called from the 3rd floor, forcing us to take the stairs down. Breakfast was no better, eggs tasted weird, hash browns were soggy and oily. The coffee wasn’t bad. When we were checking out, of course we had to take all our luggage down the stairs and housekeeping was blocking the hallway. They noticed us, but made no attempt to move until I asked them to so we could get through. Front desk reception was ok, but guests in front of us had trouble checking in. I don’t know what the issue was. While the hotel was generally dirty and rundown looking, it was things that could probably be fixed by management just making more effort. This wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but it’s always sad to me when issues are fixable but the people working there just don’t care enough to do it.
