The gentleman that checked me in was kind & personable. I knew it was a motel, but because of the rating I expected it to be decent. Maybe some of the other rooms were, but ours was horrible. It smelled old & musty, the carpet looked questionable and there was a serious mold problem in the bathroom - around the toilet, inside the shower & outside the shower. They said they had no other rooms available & it was a budget trip. That area can be quite expensive. We decided to consider it an adventure. We got some air freshener and disinfectant & went to work in the room.
Now the fun part...at around 2:00 a.m., a woman burst into our room, flipped on the light and started screaming. Apparently, she was freaked out because she had been checked into the same room. It was kind of funny! When she saw us in bed, asleep, she could have turned the light off, closed the door & gone back to the front desk. But no! She had to freak out. We were the ones that should have been screaming. LOL!
So, in summary, the place was filthy and inefficient. Not a chance in Hades we would go back. I can't imagine any scenario where the Seaside Motel could be rated WONDERFUL!
