The hotel page stated that access instructions would be emailed the day before check-in. On the check-in day, I had to contact the hotel during limited hours and sent an email to the address on their website. I was understandably worried and stressed about being locked out since the property lacks a reception. I received an email response with the access codes and a contact number.
Without my contact at the property, we would have been left on the street at night with no one to let us in, showing a significant lack of care towards customers.
The suite is beautiful, well-maintained, and designed with a minimalist approach. Cleanliness and comfort were excellent. Olive Era soaps, slippers, bathrobes, sleep masks, toothbrush, earplugs, a mini-fridge, and a coffee machine with capsules were provided. Daily cleaning service and towel changes were also included.
However, after the initial issue with the access codes, we encountered a serious problem: the main entrance door code stopped working, and I got locked out. Fortunately, one of us was inside the room. We called the emergency number posted on the door, but no one answered, so I contacted the number in the email.
The staff member resolved the problem within an hour. Although it was resolved quickly, this does not diminish the seriousness of the situation and the lack of an available emergency contact.
Emergency contact numbers must be clearly posted and accessible 24/7 for hotels without a receptionist.
