6/10 - Bom
31 de dez. de 2025
We stayed here for two nights over the 2025 Christmas break. It is an old hotel, with dated fittings and fixtures (the power went on the second night and the double mattress in the family room needs replacing). The shower did not have great pressure but was adequate. The extractor fan in the bathroom was very noisy and woke us up at 2am before we worked out which button was the isolator switch. The heaters were turned right down so it was cold until we adjusted them. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the centre of Plymouth close to the famous hoe and barbican so a great location. Parking could be difficult if the hotel is full. We tried three times to reserve a parking space but to no avail, only to turn up and be greeted by an array or cones telling us who each space had been reserved for! When I questioned this I was told we could reserve a space if we had a blue badge and may have a better chance if we book direct next time. If the parking arrangements were made clear and the electrics etc were more reliable, I would recommend the hotel but otherwise avoid.
