Great location and dedicated staff, but not worth 4 stars”
We stayed at the hotel for eightnights and, unfortunately, were disappointed with the quality and service we expected from a 4-star hotel on Fifth Avenue. I am giving two stars: one for the fantastic location, and one for the exceptional staff, especially the two doormens and the breakfast team. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not meet expectations. On the first day, we were given a room that was very worn down: the faucet in the bathroom sink was loose, the wardrobe had a large hole, and an automatic light under the bed kept turning on randomly throughout the night – significantly disrupting my sleep. The new room next day was slightly better but lacked essentials such as slippers. Additionally, the room was rarely cleaned. For three consecutive days, we had to request fresh towels in the evening, despite repeatedly asking for the room to be serviced. Basic housekeeping should be seamless in a 4-star hotel. To write everything down is not enough space.
