Poor Management of Disruptive Guests
Our stay was disappointing overall, so much so that we opted to leave a day early and forfeit a night’s room charge. We didn’t receive housekeeping service of any kind, our room was not in great condition (mold/mildew in the showers, poor quality linens, etc), and probably most problematic staff was not managing other guests, namely the countless teenagers running wild. We were at the pool every evening and with only one exception, there were never any pool towels available and the pool area was absolutely trashed. There were at least a half dozen pieces of gum stuck to the ceiling above the hot tub, dozens of kids in and out and making the environment generally chaotic (throwing towels full of snow at people in the hot tub, yelling, etc). Not once did we see an employee attempt to manage the kids, the mess, or anything else. The noise continued in the guest rooms - there was music and/or TVs blaring literally all night around our room that kept us up most of the night every night (including my two kids). When we finally decided to leave and I shared this with the staff, there wasn’t much of an apology at all. They explained that it was spring break. Given that we too have kids, we book ski trips every spring break, New Year’s week, and Thanksgiving at a minimum and we’ve never experienced anything like this. I’m not usually one to complain at all, but this was pretty epically bad.
