I recently stayed at the Microtel Hotel in Wellton, Arizona, and overall, I found it to be a quiet and peaceful retreat. The location is quite lonely, but the desert landscape and serene environment are enjoyable. The hotel itself is a nice building with sidewalks, but it lacks landscaping and plants that could provide some beauty to the surroundings. With minimal cost, the hotel could easily enhance its appearance and make guests feel like they are in a vacation resort. Embracing the desert location and adding some greenery would significantly improve the overall experience. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Adding something as simple as eggs could elevate the offering, as the current breakfast feels quite basic and comparable to what you'd find at a Motel 6. Despite this, the hotel's appearance is much better than a typical Motel 6, so with a few minor improvements, it could really stand out.I ended up at the Microtel by mistake, having originally thought it was still a Best Western. Microtel used to offer breakfast with eggs six years ago, and if they could bring back those little touches, I'd definitely consider staying there again.
