What a joke! Last minute booking because our plans changed. I wish we had driven the 180 miles back home instead. We arrived at 10:00PM. The front desk staff was the most disinterested I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Not so much as a “Good Evening”.
The room was spartan to say the least. The TV’s HDMI cable was disconnected at the Xfinity box and when connected, no sound (I checked to see if it was on mute). So no evening news or weather.
The mattress was good! But the pillows were small, square and I believe made of concrete. One thin sheet and an equally thin blanket. Vinyl roll flooring was a nice touch.
Then there was the restful ambiance. They were tearing up a nearby parking lot with heavy equipment complete with backup beepers.
5:15AM, the next door neighbors TV came on at a very high volume. Sleeping was out of the question.
At 8AM we decided to try the advertised 6AM to 10AM continental breakfast which apparently had been left on another continent. No waffle batter, but then again, no plate to eat a waffle on or plastic knives to cut a waffle with. No sausage or eggs left either but the hot table was covered in nasty greasy goo! Yuck! The morning desk clerk had vanished (blue dyed hair and all) so we gave up, grabbed a packaged muffin and some O. J., and returned to our room, packed up and left.
