Avoid at all cost
Booked through hotels.com initially for 9 nights but changed it to 3 with the option to extend and I’m so glad I did. Flew from Penang via Jakarta so arrived at 23:00. Had arranged an airport pick up to the hotel which did not turn up. I had messaged the hotel the day before to arrange and agreed the price (250k). We waited for 45 minutes in case the driver was late during which time we called and messaged them but there was no response. Ended up getting a taxi which cost 150k so although it was cheaper it would have been nice to get what was promised.
We mentioned the this to reception and didn’t even receive an apology!
We booked the most expensive room (superior) but was given the cheaper option and it was very basic and very dirty.
There was somebody’s swimming costume hanging up in the bathroom when we first entered and we had to use the shower to wash off all the dead flies from the wall so the room obviously hadn’t been checked or cleaned properly.
They advertise having a pool but it is not big enough to swim in. More like a dipping pool. It didn’t look very inviting so I didn’t try it. No place to lie in the sun either.
Breakfast was included and served in Su’s cafe (which is open to outside guests also) but very restricted. Only American style (toast, eggs, chicken sausage, bacon with a choice of fruit or fruit juice and coffee (coffee is instant Nescafé for guests but real coffee for members of the public!!) or you can have an Indonesian breakfast which I think is e
