PROS: It was clean, the linens and mattresses were comfortable, good size for 6 people. The living room is small, but the TV had several streaming channels. Affordable.
CONS: Most adjacent homes were ramshackle, with homeless milling about. There was a stale odor in the unit, rat traps in a hall closet, and several receptacles that did not work. Could use simple upgrades.
THE RIP-OFF: We followed all the house rules, but got an email after check-out stating that they kept $125 of our deposit because the cleaning company said we had smoked in the unit which cost them $100 for an ozone machine. They showed a picture of tobacco products, what appeared to be marijuana butts, and an inhaler, next to a small broken mirror, which we were charged $25 to replace. I called the number on the email to let them know that we don’t smoke, none of those items belonged to us, and there was no mirror like that in our unit. Spoke to “Jen” who said she couldn’t help me and that I needed to respond to the email. 3 emails and 2 phone calls later, still no response. I finally called the credit card company to make a formal dispute. This company can not be trusted.
