I stayed in the superior corner room and it is indeed very big, 600+ sq ft. with a 12 - 18+ foot high ceiling making it feel even bigger. The room and the grounds are very nice and this was my 3rd time staying here while at the Anza Borrego Park. My only comments on it are that the room refrigerator is tiny and only holds 4 12-16 ounce drinks in bottles, the restaurant lacks a source of protein in it's 2 vegan options, one a salad and the other pasta in a red sauce (for the cost and being in California, one would have expected more of an alternative menu - very limited menu for all foods, and the wifi is so slow one cannot even read an email most of the time, let alone look at a web page with any images. Know before you go - it is frequently windy so bring a light wind jacket and make all plans that require the internet before arrive (i was unable to get much needed info for some of the remote hikes) and download offline map - the cell service is not very good either, 1 - 2 bars at most, you have to drive 15 miles to the town of Borrego Springs for 3bars.. oh, also.. the room only came with 2 12 ounce water bottles in it and there is no large bottles of water around for 15 miles... you can get more small bottles for a fee from the hotel but those are useless in the desert... so bring many gallons of water, 2 per day... (they have these at the market in Borrego Springs).. if the menu was more extensive and the 'fridge bigger, and more water..it would have got 5 stars..
