There is nothing “grand” about this hotel other than the size of the crowds at the dining room. I have never seen a hotel that touts itself as a “four-star” hotel put disposable PAPER cups in the room and bathroom. We were told in reception that the hotel was built in 1982, but if it was, it was built with 1960s materials, down to the Corby trouser press in the room (seriously??? Who uses a trouser press these days in a holiday destination??). The breakfast, thankfully the only meal we took at the hotel, was downright mediocre and was easily the worst breakfast of our entire three-week trip - the “orange juice” was weak Tang (or was it Kool-Aid?), something outrageous in a region famous for its citrus production… I could go on, but I think you get the idea. Do yourself a favour and avoid it.
The piano bar singer in the evenings does sing quite well, however.
