The lock on our rental was faulty and we were locked out, forced to wait with bags outside for a handyman to come to fix the lock. We had one handyman come about 8:30pm and while he was nice, he was unable to figure out how to fix the lock, but he did get us inside the condo. He said someone would come in the morning who know how to work these locks. I explained that we had someplace to go at 11am, so we needed it completed by then. He assured me that their staff came in at 9am, so getting someone there first think would not be a problem. No one arrived until 11am. He worked for hours, but did not fix the lock. Finally a third guy came, who also worked on the lock for hours, calling the manufacturer for support. I asked to all three repair people if they couldn't just take a working lock of another unit, but none of the repair people were even willing to inquire with the office if this could be done. Finally, close to 4pm on day two, repair person #3 brought back a new lock from the office and finally replaced the faulty lock. By this time, we were almost 24 hours without a working lock, unable to leave unless we wanted to 1) get locked out or 2) remove all of our items to put them in our car and leave the door unlocked. We lost an entire day of our vacation because of this, and feel we should be reimbursed for the one day of vacation we lost and the management firm refused. Terrible customer service.
