Excellence Resort Punta Cana offers a mix of highs and lows. Fernando at the front desk was fantastic, ensuring a smooth check-in experience. Superman and Scooby Doo from the entertainment team brought great energy and kept the games fun and lively. However, the food at the buffet was mostly lukewarm or cold, and the cleaning service left much to be desired, with brown stains on the complimentary robe and blood stains on the blanket and bed sheet. I have been to all the other Excellence resorts, and this was try shocking. The servers lacked attentiveness and friendliness, which affected the overall all-inclusive experience. The restaurants were decent, with Agave and The Grill standing out as excellent choices. Yordy at Hibachi was also exceptional and made the dining experience memorable. Overall, I’d give the resort a 7 out of 10.
