First, I want to say that the front desk staff was extremely nice and helpful. They made our experience a little better and I'm grateful for that. Now for the bad- the hotel is older and could use some serious cleaning and updates. The room wasn't cleaned like it should have been & there was a strong unpleasant odor. We found dust by the window & a/c unit, food particles in bottom of a pot/pan, weird holes in the bathroom wall, carpets in hallway filthy, dog hair on the luggage cart, etc. We ended up checking out within 30ish mins of checking in due to the BED BUGS. We spotted them crawling around on one of the beds & notified the hotel staff immediately. They were extremely helpful with getting us checked out and we finally saw the refund on our card (almost a week later). I was advised that the room would be treated before being rented to anyone else. Unfortunately, this issue was extremely stressful and left us scrambling to find another hotel at the last minute (at 9pm). We also had to throw away some of my daughters things because they were on the bed when the bed bugs were found. I'm just grateful that the hotel staff was helpful getting us checked out and refunded. I do have several photos but I've decided not to include them in my review. Also, Hotels.com was absolutely NO help trying to get the issue resolved. Some of the guests (tenants?) were a little sketchy and we saw people sleeping in the parking lot. Reviews show the same issues over & over again.
