This is one of those tall narrow Victorian hotels. Everything is decorated lavishly with Victorian decor and antiques. I had a charming room, complete with embroidered bath robes. Rooms had a small fridge, TV, and two bottles of water. Some of the walls were cracked or had peeling wallpaper, but that didn’t bother me. Very clean. There is a lovely free breakfast: fruit, meats, cheeses, and quiche. Don’t miss it!
The only down side is the abundance of stairs and no elevator. But there was always a staff member who helped me with my suitcase. They have a small parking garage across the street. This is not suitable for wide cars. I have a Camry and I still had to push my side view mirrors in soi could squeeze through the entrance.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Evelyn.
