Pretty grounds. Clean. Pretty room (we stayed across the street from the Badlands check-in building). Comfortable bed.
There were still a few steps up to our first floor room. The sidewalks are like stepping stones with missing pieces, and very uneven, raised mortar between them, so could be a tripping hazard. The sink is right in the room, so easy to disturb a sleeping partner. The bed is very high (I'm 5'5"), so had to use a step to get up into it. No microwave. High prices for food (but you are kind of in the boonies). If you book through Expedia, like we did, the address showed Terlingua, but it's really Lajitas. GPS took us to the wrong place. Also, Expedia didn't describe that the second floor rooms, with no elevator access, really meant a very tall, steep, narrow staircase. They have a porter that they say will schlep your luggage for you, but just even walking up and down those stairs would have been scary. We chose to upgrade to a ground floor room.
